Our school, which is coeducational, has a current enrollment of 1,155 students from grades 7 to 13 and about 100 teachers and social workers. It is administered by Principal Hartwig Beier.

Location: Rudow, the southern part of Neukölln

The school is located in the southern part of Neukölln which altogether covers an area of 45 square kilometers where almost 335,000 people live. Its southern part is called Rudow. Rudow is a thriving, rapidly growing area in the outskirts of one of the biggest and most important metropolitan areas in Europe, Berlin, having a total population of about 3.5 million people. Clay-Oberschule is located in a part of the metropolis where neighbors do not live in anonymity but know each other and where you can meet lots of friendly people. Some even say the atmosphere here can be compared to that of a village. Rudow's center consists of mostly detached family houses with small shopping areas and a weekly street market (on Wednesdays and Saturdays). The amenities of a metropolis such as large shopping malls, dozens of theatres and cinemas, pubs, restaurants, 3 opera houses, concert halls and numerous (uncountable?) attractions are only a few subway stations away. We live in a city in which the lights never go out. Due to the German reunification and the newly-gained importance of Berlin as capital and seat of government Rudow belongs to the fastest growing parts of the city, large dwelling areas with apartment houses were built in recent years and more and more residents enjoy being Rudowers.
